How to blur a specific area
- Upload your image by dropping it on the dropzone or clicking to browse.
- Paint over the area you want blurred using the brush.
- Adjust Brush size and Blur intensity as needed.
- Use Erase to remove parts of your selection, or Clear mask to start over.
- Click Download to get the finished image with blurred regions.

Privacy redaction is the most common reason to blur a region: covering faces in group photos before sharing online, hiding license plates in street photography, or masking sensitive documents before emailing a screenshot.

Is processing done in the browser or on a server?
You paint your mask in the browser for a real-time preview. When you click Download, the server processes the image with high-quality Gaussian blur.
Will the downloaded result look different from the preview?
The preview uses browser canvas blur as a fast approximation. The downloaded image uses server-side processing which may look slightly different but is higher quality.
How do I undo a stroke?
Switch to the Erase tool and paint over any area you want to remove from the blur mask. Use Clear to reset the mask entirely.
